Participating in the Barix Clinics On
Track Program requires that you devote adequate time and energy each week to keep a daily food and activity log, read the
modules and complete exercises, talk with the Barix nutritionist, and work toward making healthful changes to your lifestyle.
Those that are most successful with the program will be able to: - Devote
2-4 hours each week to the program
- Honestly look at the lifestyle changes
that are limiting success with weight loss
- Exert the effort to make changes
to behaviors that will improve health and success with weight loss
- Understand
that bariatric surgery is a tool to help achieve weight loss, but the responsibility for success lies with the individual
to make lifestyle changes that support weight loss and maintenance
- Seek
out resources that can help to deal with emotional or psychological issues that may be standing in the way of weight loss
- Engage in regular aerobic and strength training exercise
